Well, after 4 days of driving and 3 bights of motel stops, I an finally in Apalachia. I was rescued from Motel stops by my friend's parents who treated me to some good ol' cookin' and hospitality at their beautiful log home just outside of Tennessee. An evening spent sitting on their swing porch seat and watching the birds was just perfect.
After a coffee and a quiet sit down, i decided the country life was calling so I headed for the Smokies.
